Kobe Bryant - The Grandaddy of 'Em All

Male sports athletes and their egotistical minds have always been on the minds of their counterpart fans. Stars such as Terrell Owens and OJ Simpson come to mind when talking about these sorts of players. Their those kind of people who would rather be bashed in the national newspaper, rather than receiving no attention whatsoever. These kind of athletes really upset me and it's sad to see all the talent that they possess go to such waste, be it in their actions on the sporting field / court, or off.

While there are many of these types of players, especially in this day in age (fans didn't really see too much of them back in the 60's, 70's, or 80's), the one who really led the way, was Kobe Bryant. Why some might argue that Terrell Owens was the first to emerge as the leader in this role, fans have to remember that it was Bryant, who entered the NBA Draft straight out of high school, and Owens who spent four years at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Both have been in the same spotlight at some point in their professional careers, however, both for different occurrences.

Bryant's 2003 sexual assault allegations, jump-started him out of the hearts of many of his fans. It was from that point on that he would be ridiculed by many and hated by even many of his fans. It was not only this incident, however, that earned him the spot as being the "Leader of the Egos," but also his cocky attitude and consistent "ball-hogging" while on the court that I refuse to give him any sort of liking or appreciation. And I could not agree more with the words of Daniel Tosh in his "Completely Serious" comedy skit...
